Food Safe Level 1 introduces participants to the hazards which promote bacterial growth when working within the food service industry. Our experienced instructors will highlight the main causes and preventive measures for cross-contamination and food poisoning. This workshop is also a pre-requisite for Food Safe Level 2, Red Seal Certification, or entry to hospitality, professional baker or other related programs.
Numerous buses come to UVic, free parking on Sundays in nearby parking lots just steps from the Human & Social Development Bldg. Large class up 25 attendees, immediate temporary certification. Exams and books available in other languages with advanced notice.
