Meet the Owner/Director/Instructor: Ms. Michel Demyen brings an extensive background in education as well as working within the hospitality industry. After 10 years of teaching overseas, where she was introduced to a variety of traditional foods, Ms. Michel returned to Canada to share her experiences and knowledge with you. While growing up on a large mixed farm, the family raised their own produce and livestock for the market. The family sold a variety of items such as eggs, milk, poultry, vegetables from their large 1 acre garden, as well as beef and pork in the surrounding area. Prior to becoming an international teacher, Ms. Michel had been involved in the hospitality industry both in restaurants, hotels as front-end staff, bartender, and working within the deli of the local supermarket.

Ms.Michel went on the obtain a BA in Social Sciences, IELTS and TESL Certified, as well as numerous coursework in both MEd and MSc in forensics, including extensive experience teaching adults. With a sense of humor, her workshops are fast-paced with lively discussions, where participants are free to share their own experiences. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming workshops.
