COVID-19 REGULATIONS: COVID - 19 safety practices will be in place including a maximum of 20 students in the premises. Students will be seated at least 6 feet apart. FEE: $85 plus GST - total $89.25 payable by e-transfer latest 2 days before training. No password required.
REFUND POLICY: Full refunds will be given if cancellation is due to any illness or COVID-19 related symptoms. BRING: ID, pen, highlighter, water, lunch, snacks. MASKS MUST be worn at all times in the eating area and in the classroom other than when you are eating or drinking.
LUNCH BREAK AND COFFEE BREAKS: Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Only bottled water will be provided. Please bring your own. Two 15- minute coffee breaks and a half hour lunch break are scheduled.
FOODSAFE CERTIFICATES: The course is wrapped up with a 50- question multiple choice test. A passing grade of 70% is required. Tests are marked the same day and temporary certificates will be issued until your certificate is processed. Within 4-6 weeks, certificate and wallet card will be mailed to students. I believe you will pass your exam with my instructions, but those who don't can rewrite the exam or take the course again for free at a later date.

I teach Food Safe Level 1 in Metro Vancouver (In person or online). It is an all inclusive one or two day course which includes instruction, text book, same day exam, same day temporary certification (permanent certificate to follow). Please bring any Government ID. Training is held at Central Vancouver Island Multicultural Society 319 Selby St, Nanaimo (next to the old train station)
The training room is located at the back of the building, follow the signs on the day of training
Cost is $85.00 plus $4.25 GST- Total $89.25 we take cash, cheque or e-transfer on the day of training.
Class is from 9 am to 5 pm
We ask that you come fifteen minutes early to register at 8:45
Bring LUNCH or go and grab, we only take a 1/2-hour lunch break

What you need to know
The course can be completed in about 8 hours. The time mentioned includes class, breaks and testing time for most individuals. Seventy percent (70%) is the passing mark. Most participants find this achievable. Results and temporary certificates are provided on the training day. Certificates will be produced by the Vancouver Island Health Authorities (VIHA) and will be mailed to you. The certificate does expire and a re-certification after five-years will be necessary.

Class-size is very limited.
If for any reason you were feeling unwell please do not attend. Notify us as soon as possible as we will have a waitlist.
Social distancing is in place. Please bring your own pen and highlighter. Hand sanitization is in practice. Masks are mandatory.
