FOODSAFE Level 1

FOODSAFE Level 1 is appropriate for anyone who works in a food service facility. It is the course required by the BC Food Premises Regulation for anyone who is the operator of a Food Premises which serves food to the public, including operators of temporary food premises.

FOODSAFE Level 1 is appropriate for anyone who works in a food service facility. It is the course required by the BC Food Premises Regulation for anyone who is the operator of a Food Premises which serves food to the public, including operators of temporary food premises.

This is a government-certified course that is designed for those who are employed or seeking employment as restaurant staff, caterers, vendors, or anyone handling food. The FoodSafe program covers procedures for preventing food borne illnesses. Topics include: receiving, storing, preparing and serving of potentially hazardous foods, hygiene, cleaning and sanitizing equipment. The course also contains a section on Workplace Safety.

Same day testing and temporary certificates issued upon passing.
Masks are not required in the classroom. Distancing will be implemented with a maximum of 22 students in this spacious 1,300 square foot room.
